I made this for my Mum's birthday on the 24th of this month - she's got a new leather suite and it's not that comfy to sit on so she wanted something to soften her place up a little!

It's made using a Moda charm pack 'Portugal'. I speed pieced the geese 4 at a time using the method on Quilter's Cache - it worked really well. The centre is needle turn applique. And I did a bit of FMQ and some 'stumbling-around-in-the-general-area-of-the-ditch' on the machine; as i'd used double thickness batting to make it extra soft I didn't want to hand quilt!

It's just a little thing but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. :D

It matches the cushions I made her last Christmas - there are 5 more or less the same, only the central appliqué on each is slightly different, but basically if you've seen one, you've seen them all!

Mum's and Dad's cushion - I made five of these for them last Christmas

The two together - not exactly the same but they sort of 'go'!

    Pretty -

My Grandma used to make "bun warmers" - but hers were extremely utilitarian, whereas yours are extremely pretty.

I love this idea and the colors are beautiful. I need to make something for my DH and I to sit on when the Rodeo comes to town and we're sitting on FREEZING cold bleechers. We cover with a quilt, why not sit on one too :) :)
    I'm inspired :)
