Sorry! I can't share these gifts, because they are all meant for my enjoyment. I can share my enjoyment though, which is why I post pictures so you all can enjoy seeing them too. Or is it so everyone can imagine how it would feel if they had the best Angel on the Board. Sorry, I'm not sharing her either. Don't be jealous!!!

    I don't blame you, I wouldn't share either.

I just received a really great package from my SQA -- it is a pattern for a 32 x 44 inch appliqued tree frog head! Yep, a tree frog, very similar to those cute little green ones with the sticky feet that climb all over the windows when the weather is warm. With their fat little bellies squished up against the glass . . . uh, I guess you have to see them to really appreciate them. They are definitely not seen up north. Anyway, the pattern looks pretty much foolproof, which means I will actually attempt it, never having done this type of thing before. I have a big spot on the orange wall of my office, right next to the bird-of-paradise print where this baby is going to be hung. Thank you so much, SQA; as you can tell I'm really excited. I've never seen anything like this -- and my sister will be so jealous when she sees it. Will post pix when I get a chance. It's an awesome gift -- thanks so much for thinking of me. When I look at it I will always smile because those frogs are so darn cute and you thought of me enough to send it.

I just received a wonderful package of things from my
secret angel. Some tiger fabric, teddy bear fabric and
psychedelic looking flower fabric (love it), green tea,
victorian looking heart box full of hersheys chocolates
(yum yum love hersheys), a box of chinese coconut candy
(staying with the chinese new year theme), some almond
cookies (which got broken in shipment but thats good cause
it lets all the calories leak out), a beautiful cat/fish
card, and she even sent treats for my kitties. You are
such a great angel. I love everything you've sent me.
To my secret angel: Happy Chinese New Year to you and
am sending a great big quilters hug right back to you too.
Thanks again. Wish I could post pictures, maybe someday!!
Kitties send purrs your way too!!

Yaaay! I got a package from my SQA today! There's a soapstone oil burner that you put scented oil things in--makes the whole room smell great. I can't wait to try it out! I got a couple of really cute valentine dish towels and some Air Head candy (is she trying to tell me something???) There's a really cute card, and best of all, some bulbs! I have no idea what they are--guess I'll find out after I plant them and they bloom! READER ALERT: I'm not much of a gardener, but I'll try this and see if I can actually get anything to bloom! Thank you SQA--you've challenged me to try something I've never done before!

Here are some pictures of my "loot" and a couple of my quilting inspectors checking it out and giving their approval!

There are some very creative angels out there. We are all fortunate. I am guessing the huge bottle of fancy wine I sent never made it to my angel. Or the mercedes. Shoot. Wait, let me check.. oops, empty bottle and the grandkid had the matchbox cars out and must have swiped your new vehicle. Maybe next month Angel. I wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day and some kind words from someone they love. I have already found several items posted here I am going to raid just as soon as its politically correct.. um.. that sure was pretty.. your not going to use THAT ARE YOU?? Dont want it to grow mold so let me.. just wait. I am getting ready to pounce!

I got a lovely package from my angel..... one fat quarter in purple and blue and 2 more contrast. Also, a note book covered in fabric. It will go with me to a class I am taking on Tues. Gave dh back the black one he loaned me.
Thanks so much, I hope my angel is as excited with my gifts as I am when I get mine.
    Blessing to you, Angel

You got some great gifts. How lucky to get flower bulbs. What a unique idea. Such creative minds our angels have.
Not to be a know it all, but being a master gardener, I know where to look for planting advice. So if you don't mind me butting my gardener nose in just a little, I would like to share some planting instructions. You can plant your new bulbs in the early spring, in well tilled soil in a sunny location, pointy side up toward the sun, flat/root side down toward the soil. Plant them about 3 times the length of the bulb, deep. 2" bulb about 6" deep. Please let us know what you end up with. My guess is daffodils, but they are so many different varieties. What a long lasting surprise these are going to be. Please post pictures of them when they bloom, and they should bloom every year. You can also plant them in a pot indoors and force them to bloom early, but then the bulb's life may be shortened and they may not come back again. Enjoy!!
