Well, not exactly [/i] from my lampshade, but from the leftovers. Last year I re-did my sewing room in blue, brown and white. I love it and had a few scraps left over so made this bag. The paisley polka dot was the lampshade and a pillow, the stripe is my curtains and the big giant polka dots is from my over-the-door ironing board cover and another pillow. Now I wish I had more scraps of it for anotherone, since I'm giving this one away. Oh well, onto more projects. :-)
Oh yeah- when I cut the corners out of the bag to make the bottom, I laid them on my ironing board and noticed later that they made the cutest 4 patch mug mat, so I stitched them together and bound it, bought a mug, copied the "cake-in-a-mug" recipe from this board and it went to a friend who just had her wisdom teeth pulled this week. It was a happy "get well" gift. I love when being frugal turns out so well!
