I do like Barb in Missouri. I figure out my cuts needed and then I cut the selvage with an inch or inch and a half of cloth. Often there is an inch or two left and it is hard to use except for leaders and enders. I want to make some pincushions with some selvages. I love the mug rugs! This was a terrific job. Thanks for sharing.

It looks great! I, too, have been saving and saving my selvages. I should also make a mug rug for me, myself and I!

My favorite part of selvages are the colored dots of each color used in the fabric. The more colors the more it makes my engine run! I was just cutting some Christmas selvages that had 18 colored dots on them. Yippee!

Love your little mug rug though, 'specially the corner set layout, makes it very interesting.
Same here. I use mine to tie around things, even gifts. The mug rug is great.
