That is one beautiful quilt! It makes me think of spring and flower gardens--just what I need on a cold, blustery winter day! Your y-seams are perfect!

I can see why you love it. The pattern and fabrics make for a stunning modern quilt. I recently got a pattern of hers called Hollow Stars from Goodwill that I am anxious to make. I did have to buy a diamond ruler for the pattern, but other than that I don't think it will be complicated. Just have to decide on fabric :-)

Very striking! Does her pattern suggest using the stripe for movement? Enjoy your finished quilt.

Many of Krista's patterns use stripe fabric in this case she designed the pattern to show off stripe fabrics. Her description on her website:

"The Semaphore Stripes quilt is the perfect way to use striped fabric to make a secondary design without all the complicated piecing stripes typically require, and it’s jelly roll friendly! This quilt combines strip-piecing with a few well-placed Y seams to get the most dramatic effect. The pieces are large and uncomplicated, letting the fabric do the talking."

Many of her quilts are designed to suggest movement in the design and I think that is why I like them so much. Have made the Vintage Windmill, The Wreath Quilt, Entangled Sky and currently working on Bespoke Stars. I also have the material/patterns for City Girl Chevron, Champagne & Pearls and Fresh Fruit (her newest). Going to be a busy 2022.
