Here are the blocks I've made for the Boom 5.0 EAST group. I'm planning to use only patterns I've never tried before and have given myself the extra challenge of tackling Y-seams, which I've always been scared of. The first Y-seam block (The Disk) came together beautifully and was even FUN! Thanks for looking! :D

I have to laugh at this because both of these are happy accidents. The bright one for Poker Diva was going to be Ocean Waves, except I didn't do my math right and figured out way too late that an F8 isn't large enough to provide for all the pieces I'd need. So I crossed my fingers and hoped to salvage without too much embarrassment.

The Primitive Tulip was a plan B block. I'd intended to do another Y-seam block but after it was partially assembled, I figured out I'd cut the pieces for a 15" block, not a 12".

Lesson learned: don't cut someone else's fabric after midnight!
