For those who had a project, it was a chance for me to help them and for those who needed one, I cut out table runners. My sister Sue wanted to do a charity quilt, since it was make a blanket day. I brought out some orphan blocks I had stitched together and she made borders and quilted it. I bound it today. As we talked, we realized that our brother's girlfriend's DIL is undergoing chemo for colon cancer at age 22 so it is going to Stacey this week.
My sister Rose came back today (I think I have a convert) and she finished a quilt top for her grandson. She took home fabric for the backing to prepare for next week.
Pics are the quilt top and charity quilt. And some of the group. It was productive. The food was good- I made some things we hadn't had since we were kids- homemade mac & cheese with stewed tomatoes and "monkey meat"- some people call it ham salad.

What a wonderful day it must have been. I truly envy you for having all those female relatives. I only have my eldest daughter and she is not craft minded at all.
I love the quilt that you are going to give Stacey. That blue border just ties it all together beautifully.

Sounds like y'all had lots of fun, I would love to do something like that with folks around here, I have no close friends or family who sew/quilt. The quilts look very pretty as well!! Happy for you!! :):)

What a fun time! I have 3 sisterinlaws, neice and couple of friends that get together at a community center and quilt or whatever. There are long tables we can push together for pinning etc. Good times.
