Sew proud of myself
I made this quilt for my Goddaughter and her husband as their wedding gift. They are a very modern style couple and enjoy art in all forms. I chose black & white to keep the modern feel of the design yet give them room to use it with their eclectic decorations. He is musician/singer in a successful band so the fabric for the back was a salute to him with all the musical note and symbols and brought in a little pop of color and made the quilt reversible too.
It is queen sized and the first quilt that I have quilted using mostly FMQ - imperfect as it is. When I made the reversible pillow cases to match each side my DH said "you must really love that girl to do all this for her", he was so right - the daughter I never had just like her mom is the sister I never had.
She and her husband loved it and that was all that really matters.
Thanks for looking.
