I'm certainly quilting more now than ever before. Always had the slippage problem with quilts before the cabinet was made. With the machine being flushed with cabinet, the problem was solved.

    Thank you for nice compliment.

As much time and patients it has taken him to build the cabinet, he appreciates the comments coming in about his craftsmanship. :-) :-)

You could always make him a batch of fudge, and see if that works. You know how he likes his sweets.

I think it's a beautiful piece of furniture too. Too bad I don't have the wall space in the dining or living room. I would love to show it off more.

What a beautiful piece of furniture and looks really sturdy! Do you mind if I ask, is the sewing machine platform hydraulic or just two positions and how is the platform supported?

    Thanks

Love it! What a great job he did! Can he be loaned out? (lol, just kidding). My dad is the woodworker, and he is 8 to 10 hours away, not to mention the fact that he has no business around power tools since the macular degeneration hit.

    Thanks for sharing!

The sewing cabinet was made from red oak, so it should last for years.

The hydralic lift has two positions, and is attached at the back of the cabinet. The lift was purchased on-line through Rockler.

I've had several quilters ask if he could be loaned out. LOL Sorry, but now that he's retired my "honey do list" to make more furniture, is several pages long.

Hopefully, your dad uses safety measures while around those machines.
