    Thank you everyone. I used HTC fusible fleece for my projects like this, purses, covers, pillow cases, etc. It's like a stiff batting and gives support to the item, is wonderful to embroider on (although you still need stabilizer) and just generally adds to the look of the finished project.

    The circles are machine appliqued fabric, done via my embroidery hoop.

    Beautiful!! I should make one for my machine!!! Even though it gets used almost every day, it still can get dusty!!!
