Great, Great Idea. Later today, I will be bring my machine down to my dinning table which allowes for an additional two inserts. Thanks so much for your post.

Actually this insert fits into the middle of her table. She sits at it facing the machine just like you usually sew. The helpful part is her table pulls out quite long so to the left of the maching she has several leafs compared to only one on the right. i'm anxious to talk to her after dinner tonight. I'll let you know how it went. She's doing a queen size quilt.

My husband made this to fit as a leaf in her table to hold her machine. We had a piece of leftover counter top and he cut it to size. Her table pulls out quite far so we hope this idea works. She is going to start the quilting tomorow. I'll keep you posted on how it works. Her machine is recessed and is flat onto the table instead of sitting on top of it.
    What a great idea!
