Sewing room curtains
#1
Several ladies here have complimented me on my curtains in my sewing room. I purchased the valances at Lowes (under $20.00 for sure) it took two for the window. And I added a set of lace panels to dress it up. And all my Spiderman's babies live there in the window.
We brought Spiderman home about 2 years ago, he was this poor scraggly looking little plant. I transferred him to a bigger pot and he grew like crazy. We got a nice grow light and hung it up, the interior of the house is a light chocolate milk color. It sounds odd, but the color is actually very soothing.

The room in the picture is actually the back of the house. I was standing in the hall with the front door behind me. So the plants do not get a lot of direct sunshine except for a little in the afternoon when the sun starts to set.
I keep them on a 12 hour cycle spring and summer, 10 hours in the fall and an 8 hour cycle in the winter. They get fed about every 8 weeks and watered as needed first thing in the morning. Watering at night really doesn't do them well, because they are in their sleep cycle.

What a beautiful room...love the valance and your plant collection is lovely. I read a study many years ago that said spider plants, MIL tongue, peace lily and pothos were the most efficient indoor air cleaners around.
