Those windows in the "bay" area look like a perfect place for a window seat! Just think of the storage under a bench seat all along those windows!! You could curl up there to go threw all your books and magazines when done quilting for the day!!

Ok - Here's what I've got done so far...of course now I'm wondering about putting the sewing cabinet & the little desk back to back & more in the center of the room...off I go to try it...
And this is what the rest of the house now looks like as a result LOL...

The lighting is a lot better than it seems in the picture...

Ok...desperately need your opinions...
With the sewing machine lowered & the cabinet closed up this would give me a 38x46 work surface for cutting, etc.

There is still plenty of room to walk around & the other end of the room has the closet where all my storage will be (my next project)

Well so far so good. I kind of like it this way. If you are FMQ you would have the desk to help hold the quilt while manovering it. I dug out the closet in my sewing room this morning. I love sewing in an organized room. Enjoy!!!

Ok, you've really inspired me to do the same. Will have to wait until next week as my hubby is leaving on a trip Wednesday and my best friend is coming in for girls time. Sewing, talking and whatever else we can find to get into. Pictures look great. You accomplished a ton.
