Great room-my only suggestion is to keep your machine near the window. There isn't anything that compares to natural light in my opinion. I have a small sewing room and I have my machine in front of the window. I could have a giant space if I would move to the basement, but I can't give up my window!

Definately like the second try better!! Can you take off the doors on the sewing cabinet? I kept hitting my knee on the doors of mine when open, and since I never closed up the cabinet at any time, I said the heck with those!!
Also, can you swing the tables, just like they are but with your back to the window so you would have the natural light over your shoulder?
That might be even better, and you can see your door- better for Fung Shui!!!! No one can can up behind you!!

(I just crack myself up sometimes!!)

Seriously, just remember to take your time, and put things where you most want them!

Have some caffine, preferably in the form of Chocolate!

I know you have had a big day. It is looking great and it will be so wonderful when you are done. I vote for the back to back tables so you get the large work space.

It is very inspiring. I will get started on mine. I have some woodwork to do in the room that has kept me from getting it done this year.

Love the idea of window seats under those windows, wish I had them. The room is looking great. I was so motived by you, went downstairs and started cleaning up my sewing mess !

This way looks nice and workable but will you trip over the electric cords when things are plugged in?
