I do have Advance, also Simplicity, McCalls, Butterrick, Vogue and some by Vogue called Your Special Design. I also have some that were made before patterns were printed. Those I remember sewing with. I have more than that, but ran out of wall. I have some for bras, panties, slips, girdles in addition to the regular. Oh I have some that were ordered from the newspapers. Remember them?

I teach both quilting and garment construction. My students range from children to mature adults. I also rent my HandiQuilter by the hour. I have the most amazing 93 yo that uses my HQ. She still lives alone, drives and is trying to hurry her quilting bc 'she won't live forever'. Her words not mine.

Amazing. I am drooling. I have a disaster for a sewing room right now. I feel blessed to at least have a small area. Someday... when my kids are grown...

Do you have a scissor preference for quilting? Love your collection.
I would have to say my favorite is Gingher. I have about 25 pairs of them. I used to collect the designers until they got so expensive. I still buy a pair once in a while. I recently bought the Gingher rotary, it was on clearence. I can't say it's any better than the rest. Mostly I use the rotary for quilting. Learning to sew I used scissors so I still do for garments.

Gainsville is about 2 hours north of Fayetteville. We live about 30 minutes south of the airport.
