I wanted a quilt that would show off my vintage handkerchiefs, old doilies and antique cigarette silks. This is the the design I came up with. I think it's pretty but I'm not sure I'll keep it. Pink really isn't for me. I just wanted a challenge. I think it would be a great place to display a collection of old brooches or hatpins. Of which I have neither. Anyway it was fun to make and I think it's pretty.

    Measures 29 X 43 - bigger than it looks

WOW - love it! How did you sew on the lace doilies?

Breath taking, what a lovely wall hanging those would make, a little too fancy for place mats, I think. Small table topper, perhaps. They are very elegant.
