    I love your pinwheels in the bottles. Are they made from fabric? Is there a pattern? I am not a real fan of twister quilts, but your is dazzling...love the color combinations.

    Thank you everybody! Valerie & I were both really happy with how it turned out and the "kids" love their quilt!
    Trolley - to answer your question: The pinwheels are made from card stock - like you would use for scrapbook pages. You also need dowels, big beads, buttons, and wire. We got the vintage looking soda pop bottles from Cracker Barrel. My other daughter took all the soda pop to work and then brought back the empty bottles.

    These are real, spinning pinwheels, not just merely decorative. You can find a free template and instructions/tutorial for how to make the pinwheels on Gwynn Wasson Designs

    Definitely looks like the pinwheels are blowing in the wind. I also love the pinwheels that you have in bud vases in the window - cute.
