Thank you everybody! Valerie & I were both really happy with how it turned out and the "kids" love their quilt!
Trolley - to answer your question: The pinwheels are made from card stock - like you would use for scrapbook pages. You also need dowels, big beads, buttons, and wire. We got the vintage looking soda pop bottles from Cracker Barrel. My other daughter took all the soda pop to work and then brought back the empty bottles.
