I had a blast! It has been along time since I have been able to spend the day with my old friend (Qween Bee), and very exciting to meet my new friends that I have met here on the board. After a minute or two, it felt like I had known these ladies for years, and we were just catching up on things, what a wonderful feeling!
I think the next time, we might skip the flee market ( it was so windy, it about knocked you over, and it did nothing for my hair either!), and just focus on the fabric! Every one at Lolly's was so nice, even put lil bags of fabric together for us! The quilts on display were beautiful and sparked so many ideas.
I didnt take alot of money with me, as DH and I have to go out of town Friday & Saturday, and there are quilt shops there I have to hit. But I think I can speak of everyone when I say, what a wonderful day we all had, and wish the rest of you could of been there! This will be something I will do again!

"And a good time was had by all" certainly seems like it fits the occasion. Loved all your photos. Thanks for sharing. Gotta love that boatload of FQs. It would take me all day to search through that and make decisions.

You know, next time you go, ask them if you can do this. Tell them you'll give them a copy of the pic to use as advertising.

Can you see it in a magazine or newspaper, you or someone in that boat, looking all happy, tossing the fabrics around.

So sorry I missed you all. I remember one time a group of ladies was at the lower level of Lolly's and asked the clerk if they could up-end the boat so they could get to the bottom. He said, "Sure, as long as you put it all back". And so they did, they dumped the boat and went through and touched every fat quarter. They all knew what everyone was looking for so when they found something they thought someone else wanted they'd hold it up, announce it (floral, stripe, boats, calico, geometric, batik, etc.) and pass it on. What a hoot that was.
