Hi justflyingin, you are a wonder, your quilts are an insiration and what quilting was all about before there was so much fabric on offer. Perrhaps those of us that complain about having too big a stash should take a lesson from you.Your artistry is worth a ton of fabric.Love Letty.

What a great idea for making quilts and one does not have to be in Europe to do it. You have inspired me...bought a bunch of men's shirts last year from GW thinking Bonnie hunter......this would be faster and pieces much bigger! Please tell what size are your strips ...thanks

It's not boring at all - it looks so comfortable to me! I could just reach out and hug it right now. I love seeing your work. Thanks for posting.

Definitely not boring, it looks very comforting, the kind of quilt you want to snuggle on the sofa with.

Oh, I love the understated soft feel to this quilt. You are very talented to have a vision on using upcycled fabrics. I think I need to try a little harder when I am looking to purchase upcycled shirts and what not. ( I think maybe I'm being too critical.) This one is a winner for me!

The strips were cut 3.5" x 6.5" (the main one--the colorful shirts) and the tans strips were cut 2" x 6.5". The finished block is 6.5" and after sewn into the quilt, of course, it is 6".

    The block looks like this:

and the overall layout of the quilt looks like this:
