    Default Shop Hop to Denver

Just got back from a shop hop to Denver and a visit to the Denver Quilt Show. I came home with a few new projects!

These will be 4 whole cloth baby quilts (they are the quilting practice pieces) Somehow this picture ended up at the bottom of the post!

This is a really cool and simple blue and linen colored plaid quilt that I fell in love with! Have never seen these colors in our area. One of the cats had been checking out the package -- and left a present of hair!

Twenty seven fat quarters of Kafe Fasset fabric to make a stripe quilt. Totally out of my comfort zone but beautiful fabric.

Thirty one fat quarters of Downton Abbey and some coordinates. I plan to make Emily's Wedding Quilt from a Fons and Porter magazine that I have on hand.

These will be 4 American Doll dresses (they are pre-printed panels) and 24 quilt labels to color.

Also found a new color of yarn to knit wash cloths -- this size skein usually makes at least a dozen. Along with a set of hexie papers to make another quilt.

We also visited the American Girl doll store where I had a ball -- came home with a new doll (Rebecca) for me to use as a model for the clothes I make for my granddaughters. (That is my story and I'm sticking to it!) Bought several doll outfits for Rebecca to give to her friends(for Christmas) Kit and McKenzie who belong to the granddaughters.

I think I have my work cut out for me with all these new additions. I think I'm going to do the blue and linen plaid quilt first, that top should only take a couple afternoons to put together. I can even quilt it myself as it is stitch in the ditch and other straight line quilting.

Wow, you did great!!! I didn't get to go this time. Did they have quilts on display like in the past?? The last time i went, they only had them hanging at ceiling height over the isles. Most frustrating.
