Got me some good bargains at Joanns today, or at least I think so.

I've never bought a bolt of muslin before but it was on sale for 19.99 so thought I'd give it a try.

Hi Pam -- I got the bolt of muslin today also!! The muslin ends up costing about $1.67/yd. buying it this way. I've never bought a whole bolt either so will see how this goes!!

On clearance they had some Fons & Porter Storage Boxes (printed cardboard) -- a set which had one box big enough to hold 12" blocks and a box to hold fat quarters at $3.97. Really cute and couldn't resist.

And I hope your trip wasn't as frustrating as mine...love the store hate the service..... :-) :(

I'm so glad for you!!! I went early this a.m. -- around 10:30 and while there were a few people in there shopping, it seemed like maybe all the clerks were late   But the traffic wasn't too bad until AFTER I came out...

I have purchased bolts of muslin from Joann'sbefore and am always thankful to have it - I LOVE the way muslin looks on the back of quilts. One can see the quilting so well on muslin. I think it makes the back of the quilt as beautiful as the front.

Looks like you had a good trip  One question about the muslin. When you use it for backing do you wah it before you attach to the back ? Also I have heard of different thread counts on the muslin, but never seen it on the label. How do you know if its a good muslin ? Thanks for your help !

Can't wait to see your projects finished !
