I agree, with the same fabrics as in the stars would be beautiful.

I did this quilt and made the flying geese. They do not take away from the embroidery, in fact they accent the middle. Go ahead and do the flying geese.

Your quilt is beautiful. I love the idea of the flying geese border. I think it will finish off the quilt and highlight the embroidery.
