    I'm not a fan of OBWs. But wow, there are lots of ideas for fussy cutting! Beautiful fabric!

    It's beautiful fabric!! I'd do both if I had enough fabric - both quilts would look so different using the same fabric.

    Can you spare a cut large enough to make one OBW block? That might be what tells you which way to go

    I have one of the Florentine I that I just can't cut. It's been sitting in my stash for a long time. I love it whole. Just me though.

    My daughter gave me this fabric (in brown and gold) for Christmas a few years ago. I used it as panels and the gold beauty showed wonderfully.

    I think I'd vote in favor in favor of keeping it intact. You can make some really cool looking OBW with really hideous fabric, that when you have a beautiful piece like this, I'd like to keep it whole! Just me.
