    I had to look twice at the pic with the pinwheels in the sashings. I really like the double strip with the pinwheels instead of one large sashing!

    Cute pics. You really don't even need sashing if you don't want. Dresden plates are gorgeous as is.
    What a nice thing to do for your MIL!!

    Here is mine. I made it into the fan pattern though, easier for me to finish off. I hand quilted it all and it took me over 3 years, off and on. I love it though and it looks very nice in the guest bedroom.
