Here is a picture of my first quilt! I made it for my hubby in 1997 and he still uses it in the den every winter. It needs to be put away, so I now need to replace it

Propellers For Donnie It is made on curves and I really enjoy working on curves.

    Irish Heart:
That is a difficult quilt for a first quilt and would be too difficult for me even now. It came out lovely.

    Jewel:
This quilt is beautiful. Difficult for a first quilt I would imagine.

Many thanks--I've been quite a while mustering the nerve to show it--so many gorgeous works of art executed what looks like flawlessly are displayed here.

Thank you for your kind words--face to face there are mistakes but I learned a lot & love my Pfaff dual feed. I'm thinking that a black & white with a splash of color would be stunning in this pattern. Do you think? Thanks again :-)

Jewel - I love your fabric choices and the yellow brick road pattern - that's one I haven't tried - yet! I have lots of blue and white fabric and that is one of the patterns I was thinking of for some of it!

Ninnie - I love your quilt, those curves look tricky! The fabric and quilting make it look like an antique quilt, soft, well- loved and beautiful!

Yes it would look good in black and white, with maybe pinks and/or reds??

My first quilt. Started in 1970 and finished in 1973. Lots of x-stitch embroidery and my first big project to hand quilt. A definite learning experience!
