This is my first quilt which, I'm ashamed to say, is still not quilted. I made it in 2007 following Alex Anderson's beginner's quilting book. Lots of boo-boos and wavy borders :-) I didn't even like the colors when I made it.

The first quilt I made was a lover's knot. I liked the pattern a lot and made it for my mom. My mother moved last year and put it in storage and while it was there, her storage unit was broken in to and the quilt was stolen -probably just used to wrap around other stuff they took. I really liked that quilt!

Wow, that's really impressive! Is that all applique? And if yes, was it fused or hand-turned?

It was fused and then I machine blanket stitched around EVERYTHING - the flowers and the waves that are used in the sashing. Here are closeups of it:

    Wow, that is nuts!!
I did appliqué for the first time on my son's quilt for his crib and bassinette, and I HATED it. I just made the quilt a couple of months ago, and until I just saw yours there, I didn't ever want to do appliqué again. I don't think I would have the patience to do all that work like you did, but it sure is beautiful... it kind of makes me want to do one like that...

Awwwww, give it another try! I was sick of it when I finished but I'd do another!

This is my first quilt. I'm just finishing the top. I still need to add the borders. After seeing the others I'm almost ashamed to post mine.
