this is my first quilt which is a sampler and I made a smaller one to cover the pillows during the day and to throw on the foot of the bed at night ( on cold nights)

I made this in 1998 and machine pieced and machine quilted and the topper is machine pieced and hand quilted.

I don't think I have a pic of my first or second one, but this one is my third. Made for a co-worker's baby. I had stenciled a quilting design to follow in the border, but the pencil didn't come off, so I "appliqued" the middle border onto the original.

My first quilt I did last month. We moved from Utah to Texas for the summer and couldn't find a job anywhere. I really needed something to do and a dear friend gave me her old sewing machine. So I dragged my husband to the fabric store and found beautiful fabric that I fell in love with. I don't really know anything about quilting but I think it turned out alright. Not quite done with it yet but I'm getting there.

My first quilt was a real challenge. It's my biggest fault...taking on things that are BIG when I really should be doing less!! Anyway, my BFF taught me, and when I picked this pattern, she said "Are you SURE?" I said, "Sure, why not?" She gave me another option, but I liked this one. Now I'm glad I did it, because I learned so much with that first quilt. It's mine till I die, and then the kids can fight over it!! It's not a big quilt, but I treasure it!!!

I did quilt and bind it, but I don't have a picture of it completely done.

Okay, I give up, I will post my first ever quilt. My daughter was traveling all over the states and I had not heard from her for over a year (she was upset with me). But I had heard she was going to have a baby and I heard this from her step-mom. So I decided to make the baby this quilt. I followed a pattern on the Brother web site. I found out in July of 2003, but the baby came to early and died only a few minutes after birth. I still shipped this baby quilt off to her and to this day she takes such pride in it.

I was thinking the same thing! Sheesh!

Well, here is my first quilt with the princess it was made for. You can't really see much of either of them lol! The pink and blue quilt to the right was made by my MIL's very good friend and Heather still sleeps with it. Oh, and the dog's butt. She was sleeping under there! You can see the bumper pads and the dust ruffle are made with the same fabric as the quilt.
