Here is mine. This is the first quilt I ever made. And while I worked on this one, I thought that I have so much talent. Now, 15 quilts later, I can't believe that this is my work. Shall I call myself ashamed? It seems so, haha.

Please, show your ugliest quilt. Show your bravery

My ugliest quilt was a quilt for my now 12 year old grandson when he was born. Haven't seen it in years, hope to never see it again. The mistakes would give the quilt police cardiac arrest.

There is a problem with this thread...I don't think your quilt is ugly! This is the first quilt I actually pieced and quilted, it was very much a learning experience!

This was made for a little boy who loved race car driving. His Mom wanted something that would not be actual cars. I thought the colors looked like waving flags.

Nope, not ugly. I think it is quite pretty for a first quilt.

The first quilt I made was a Grandmother's Flower Garden. You cut hexagons for the back, batting, and top; sewed them on 5 sides, turned them right side out, quilted them, then stitched them all together. I had hundreds of hexagons all over my house. I used what ever fabric I could find: cotton, silk, denim, batiste--you name it I used it. And I thought it was lovely!!! Please don't laugh too loud:

Jan, I think it is lovely!! Never heard of doing hexagons that way. You can ship it to me if you don't want it!

Jan, you've got to be kidding! I am floored that you did hexagons for your first quilt! I don't know why in the world you would put this is the ugly category!
