My sister gave me a quilting book called "Quick Quilts from Scraps" or something like that. I've been eyeing the Cabin in the Woods for a while and decided to start on it today. These cabins are so easy and fast to make!

I have been cutting fabric and sewing pieces all day. I am loving this quilt! This is a perfect newbie quilt. Here are a few of the pieces for the bottom row. I need to make a different size/style of trees to tie it all together.

The blocks are about 8" high. The house blocks are about 11" wide.

These are so fast! I have all my large and medium trees finished. All my cabins are cut and ready to assemble. I need to cut and assemble two sizes of triangle trees. I will definitely be done with this in less than a week.
