    Actually - if you used the plastic canvas, then these would be washable. Mine is quite dirty and no way can I wash it with cardboard inside for the stiffness.

    I have made several of these in different sizes. I use the really stiff stiffening (wow) stuff. Mine are put in the bedrooms for glasses or a watch, or given as gifts and can be used for jewerly, keys, mail. I also do some quilting on them, and that not only holds the layers together, but gives them some more support.
