    Hi Candace,
After it is quilted, if you still think it is way too loud, I have 2 suggestions:
donate it somewhere - children's hospital, nursing home, local fire or police (they both carry blankets for kids to cuddle with here in CO - I'm assuming other places do the same thing)

The second idea is a little more 'artsy'. Find some silhouettes that you like and applique them to the top. You'd end up with silhouette framed in the flower blocks. Should be gorgeous when done.

I'm quilting it with off-white thread and that seems to be little more calming to my eye. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll post a photo when I'm done. I'm doing a simple computerized embroiderydesign in each plain, floral block which is taking some time.

I thinks it's really pretty and I'm not a purple person.

Aaaarg. I'm almost done quilting it and I ran out of thread. My LQS doesn't cary the weight of Mettlers that I'm using. So, now it will have to wait until I can get some more from another place further away. I hate it when that happens.

I am not a purple person either, but for some reason the quilt makes me feel very warm and summery> I think you will have a beautiful quilt when you are finished quilting it.
