I wish I had been able to see the quilting. Was it done by hand?
1st and second one and the fans and the last one were all done by hand. the others were a bit of hand and machine.

I was happy that I was able to take pictures. They didnt let me take pictures of the really old ones. There was one there that was a grandma's garden that was all done by hand and it was GORGEOUS and it was made 70 years ago by her grandmother. I understood why she didn't want a picture taken of it. I didn't get to get pictures of some of the other ones because my phone battery died. But there were some hand woven wool ones that were done as crazy quilts and the stitching was phenomenal!!! I was in AWE.
Two of the quilts that were done crazy style took a year a piece to make and stitch together.

They also invited me to come back anytime and even said I should come down sometime and quilt with them! :)

I was in quilting heaven today.

the fan, trip and diamonds were made from old dresses that grandmother and mother had worn during the 50's to the 80's.

the 4th picture is a pillow cover that was separate from the quilt that was on the bed. I thought what a marvelous idea!
