HI: I'm new to posting & quilting - haven't even done the intro - but I had to say Thank you - looking at your pictures was awesome - I wonder what it would be like to actually be there. I'm new (very new) to quilting and have a lot to learn - and by the pictures above I haven't even scratched the surface – so much to learn. Once again thank you so very much.

I am kinda new at posting this stuff and chatting on here. I love that I found this spot to talk to others that do what I do. I have been quilting for 40 years off and on. I have done all kinds but now I just mainly hand piece, applique, and hand quilt. I am so disappointed that machines are taking over and only saw about 6 quilts at the show that were hand done and the 6 were from the Amish that someone purchased. Quilting started out the old fashioned way and I love the look of hand work. I am not alone. You should see the women that I talked to that agree. The machine work is really beautiful, but it should be a whole different catagory. Good luck and happy quilting, no matter which type you do. Its addictive so be prepared and start your so important fabric stash. :)

My sis and I go every year. We missed this year. I forgot to make hotel reservations in time. I have reservations for next year already. We always love the classes during the week before the show. And the quilts at the show are so wonderful. Thanks for sharing your pics.

You are welcome. I know you have to reserve like now. I too want to go to the classes but next year we will be RVing to Alaska so I will have to miss a year. But I will be back the following year. Its a great show, and I am glad it wasn't quite as hot this year.
