Lightbulb Skirt Tales 'n Twisted Rails

In the early '90's I made myself a wrap-around skirt out of a southwestern fabric that I just loved. Time expanded my girth and I could no longer wear it, but could not part with it. Well.....inspiration struck (very delayed as you can tell) and last year I decided to rip the skirt apart and use the fabric in a quilt. This is the results. It was quilted by Missouri Star Quilting Company using a cactus theme. I just love it and this one is MINE ALL MINE!

Glad you put it to use, especially in something you get to keep and use. Nothing like recycling.

I have a pink and mint green madras plaid cotton skirt that is going to meet the same fate. I love what you did with your skirt!

Very pretty! I like it a lot! And I had clothes like that, that I made and I wish I still had......and could make into quilts!
