    I don't like the raw inside seams so I serge my seams. Thread the long tails back into the seams.
    Nice bag.

    in the pattern that i use , from this site, the bag was sewn rights together on all four sides, leaving a turning inside out space, turn in side out , so there were no raw edges.so then the purse was folder over , in half, the top hem was folded down the two inches[maybe not the right measurment] the tape was inserted and then sewn up the sides. so i guess there are different ways to do this ,so i will keep reading all your good ideas, thank-you. i hope the lady who started this topic is still reading.
