    Tartan, just out of curiosity, is there something wrong with Black thread on Black fabric?

    . It is hard for my old eyes to see black on black or white on white when machine quilting.

    As long as you have a good light to shadow the thread, it's easier to see where you have been. You can either use a clip on light, or my machine (Fusion) has a USB connection.
