FYI-When you go to the site, you have the option of credit card pay or paypal. It says you can pre-order and it's not charged to your card until it's shipped if you use credit card check out.

That's true. If you pay by credit card directly (not through PayPal) then we pre-authorize the card for the total amount of the order (to make sure the card's good for the amount), then capture (charge) only enough to cover whatever fabrics are in stock for shipping now. If nothing's in stock, nothing actually gets charged yet. And then when the fabric comes in, I can retrieve the credit card number (securely - it's encrypted and password protected) and charge for the backordered fabrics.

If you pay by PayPal, the money (all of it) changes hands right away. We don't easily have the option of taking some now and some later; we would have to do a partial refund and then do a whole separate "request money" later, when the fabric comes in. That is clunky and cumbersome and bogs down the whole process, both of receiving the second payment and shipping all the backorders. For example, if we have multiple people in line for a backordered fabric, and we're running tight on yardage because the maker shipped us 13-yard bolts instead of the 15-yard bolts we were expecting, and we are waiting for payment from customer #2, we don't want to skip over her and give the fabric to the customers who ordered after her... but we can't wait indefinitely for the payment either, and in reality everyone who ordered after #2 is going to have to wait for her to pay before we know if we have enough yardage to cover those later orders. It gets quite messy and inefficient and we don't really want to go there.

So if you would like to pre-order and not tie up any funds, please pay by credit card rather than PayPal.

I LOVE , LOVE , LOVE Peggy Tooles designs. I think she has given Hoffman a true compitition every year on her designs. She just gets better every year. They just make me .... want all of them.
Just a note it must be so hard for you to have to pick , when so many fabulous fabrics are presented to you?! It must be a constant challenge to stay focused on the Business of selecting fabric. !?

Question 1...Will you be making FQ and I Spy packs?
Question 2...What if you don't have a credit card to use for pre-ordering?

I'm just in a pickle here as to what to do.

I'm drooling! But my New Years Resolution is to stop going to LQS for a "while" b/c my stash is out of control. I really think I am a fabricaholic.
