I actually used transfer eze, you copy or print the embroidery pattern on it, then stick it on the fabric and embroider right through it. It rinses off with lukewarm water when you are done. It is a wonderful product and makes hand embroidery almost foolproof! Thanks for all the kind words! I do love how it turned out and my mind is spinning with variations! By the way the pattern says to do the embroidery after quilting, but I did it before layering and quilting.

    Mamaw-
Thanks for your comments on the transfer eze. I think I bought some of that so will look for it when I'm mucking out my sewing space today (and tomorrow....). I was also thinking of different variations: blueberries, yoyo flowers, star buttons. It looks like I'll get my money out of the purchase. I'd love to make a few as gifts now and just remember where I put them (or gift them early).
I can't wait until the pattern comes. I'm hopeful this will pull me out of my sewing slump!
    Thanks again!

Oh, how sweet! Was this a pattern or a kit? Or are you just so creative on your own? I will now read the rest of the postings to find the answers to my questions.

The pattern came today! I can't wait to finish rearranging my sewing space so that I can start it. I bought extra buttons and another embroidered snowman pattern as well. Thanks again for posting your picture!
