Regardless of your FANTASTIC score, you ought to be proud of yourself. It takes a lot of courage to enter a competition. Like you said, you'll learn something new and feedback could be good for you as you grow as a quilter. I LOVE your quilt. I would've given you three blue ribbons.

Hi Suzic46, Congratulations!! You are correct to be very proud of the scores that you received. The judges would not know you are a "newbie. I "scribe" for judges during the judging process and there are a lot of things they look at on each quilt. They do not know the name of the person or anything about them. They only see the quilt. Again Congratulations and I'm glad that you appreciate the critique' and it's purpose. Keep entering any quilt shows that you can to get the benefit of the critiques'. Maybe we will see one of your quilts in Houston or Paduqua someday!! Ellen
