My first quilt entered into a quilt show. The judges awarded the quilter a blue ribbon for her work on the quilt - she did an excellent job!. I got a 97 score out of 100, but no blue ribbon lol. There's always next year, I'll know now what to do differently or better on my next quilt. I really liked having my work critiqued then I can learn and grow in my quilting.

I got a 9 out of 10 for the Pattern, a 7 out of 8 for concept and design, and 9 out of 10 for the colors. Maybe I'm too new of a newbie for a ribbon?? lol. I'm very happy with my score tho.

Nonsence, Suzi, They wouldn't know whether you are a Newbie, would they. They must be off their rockers, it looks great. And if I had ever managed those kind of figures at school, my parents would have done cartwheels. (I got the craft genes in the family, and my brother got the clever clogs genes)

It is the prettiest blue quilt I have ever seen.
It should have gotten the ribben but never frown on a 97, I sure wouldn't.

Please don't get me wrong - I am extremely happy with my score - can hardly believe that I got a score so high. Surprised me and put a big smile on my face!

It's a quilt to be very proud of, no matter the score. It's absolutely beautiful and you did a wonderful job executing it. I love the pattern and the colors. You don't look like a newbie to me! (Is there a moratorium on how long you can use the word "newbie"? I think you may have already moved past that stage!)

Your quilt is wonderful! I have spent quite awhile studying it. That was a lot of work for you!
