    Sock monkeys are so cute. My youngest daughter's kindergarten teacher made one for each of her students for their birthdays. She still has it almost 28 years later. So they get cherished.

    When I was a kid you could get the socks with the red toes and heals anywhere. My Aunt Pearl. Made all of her nieces and nephews a monkey. She was my mothers older sister and there were 7 siblings. All of us cousins loved our monkies even the boys. We played with them until they wore out. Never thought they would stop making the socks for everyday wear. Memories are so good. Both my mother and my aunt have passed on. It was good to see your monkey.

    All my grandkids have them. i stocked up yrs ago, when sears had them, with instructions.

    I have one that my grandmother made me when i was little and she made a knit sweater and hat for it to! Great job!!

    My son had one of these growing up. It went everywhere with him and when something naughty happened guess who got blamed? "My monkey did it!" :twisted:
