    Default Solar Dye pictures

A while back I posted on a thread about labels and using printed pictures on fabrics for them. I shared that I have been using a product to actually dye the fabric with a negative of the picture. I love them and made a couple today for a quilt I am making for a friend and her cats. I put the actual quilt info on a different hand written label, but I am adding pictures of her cats to the back of the quilt too. I did four of them altogether so it looks like a miniature portrait gallery.

I am loving this process and the results. The fabric is actually dyed, as opposed to printed on, so it stays soft and is fully washable. The one drawback is you can't have full color, so if that is what you want, this won't suit for your project. Here are two of the cats. They are actually a deep blue.
