What a beautiful job you did. Is it an original pattern your group designed or is it available on line?

Actually I made it up as I went along. I knew I wanted the USA part in the middle and then I just made the blocks surrounding the USA from scraps in my stash. I had a Moda marbles jelly roll and found the red, white, and blue strips. This center part has been sitting in my sewing room for quite a while. Finally decided to add the other things to border the center USA panel I had created, and that was that. I have more fun not using a pattern most of the time.

Thank you for sharing your design with me. I'm not very confident when it comes to bringing my ideas to furition. I'm afraid I'll mess up on the calculations and ruin the fabric. I measure five times to cut once. LOL If the rotary cutter slips I cringe and hope it didn't slice into the seam allowance. Maybe one of these days I'll find a simple pattern I can use for a good military quilt.
