I made this for my husband as a homecoming present from Iraq. It is a tumbleblock pattern and I appliqued 3 differ types of leaves that I stuffed with cotton to lend a 3D affect. I was quite pleased with it. It was machine pieced and hand quilted.

Lovely. I really like that you added that 3D element to the leaves. Really balances the 3D effect of the blocks. And, congrats on the homecoming. I also made an Iraq blanket. Feels great to put that much love into a quilt.

    Beautiful quilt.
Thank you for your and your husbands service to our country. My daughter returned from 1 year in Iraq back in September.
