Very nice quilts and are there ever two quilts the same? Mine are not and to be boggled down by copyrights would take all the creative fun out of quilting and that is not going to happen.
Life is already difficult enough with all these laws in place.

I am in awe of the colors in the first quilt! They are wonderful!

I would have NEVER thought (or dared) in a million years to combine those colors together, but they work together so well! I love it! Thanks for sharing them all with us!

That's my "Hot Tamale, Old Gum Boot" - an expression my dad used for years...
It's made with all kinds of 'pepper' fabrics, the blue sashing stuff has Mexico scenes on it and the orange is flames

Okay...I will be the first to say it. I DO use patterns and books and magazines. Your quilts are just stunning, and it is great that you can design your own. But there is that small group of us out here that have to follow patterns otherwise we would have a gigantic mess. And what a waste of money and time. I like to follow my own color schemes, but I have always hated math, so if I didn't follow some kind of pattern, my squares would be mishmash!!!
The only quilts I don't use a pattern for are the Civil War Scene quilts which I can cut and border myself.
So please don't look down on us un=designers, after all,, someone has to keep those magazines in business, right? LOL
That being said, I envy all of you talented quilters who can wing it...what freedom you have in your choices!!!!
