They are all so pretty, but I love the third one.

Wow, I can't pick a favorite. I just inherited a tote of batik fat quarters and wondered what pattern to use with so many variations in the color palette. I love the bright colors with the black and white prints.

I would appreciate any pattern names or links to the patterns that you have used. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to dig into my gift of batik fabrics. Happy Quilting!

Hi copycat! I love it when I inspire someone because it's just a tiny payback from all I have been inspired by others. The one with batiks and white is a design I created--and had trouble with lining up. The HST were just out of my head. They can be any size you wish. I played a lot to get blocks that worked--not too busy--ones where a pattern could be seen. It's easy to make things too crazy with black and white fabric. My plan is to always made too many blocks so I can play. ;-) The pattern on the design wall and matching quilt are from a magazine from long ago, but I made the pieces smaller--something I tend to do. lol The blocks before going into the quilt measure 5 by 7. The strips of color are 1.25" You can play around with sizes for what you'd like for the skinny and chubby centers to get them to match in size. On a quilt I made years ago with these blocks I did alternating rows of blacks and white. Every other was just too busy. But this time I sprinkled in black blocks and I love the effect. I tried to attach a photo of that one--but keep getting that error message.

I'd be happy to answer more questions... this was kind of vague, but all the color ideas came from my head.
