Default Some "Firsts" for me...

I have made my first wall hanging...never have made anything with batiks..scraps my friend game me...first time to use basting spray for my appliques instead of heat and bond...loved that...first time to quilt anything on my regular sewing machine and first time to use blue painters tape for cross-hatching...but I think there is more of this in my future...thanks for looking..

So pretty and just right for fall. Great job on the quilting. I'll have to try the painters tape idea.

That is so gorgeous! How do you use the painters tape? As a measure, etc?

Beautiful wall hanging. I use painter's tape all the time, it works great.

I'd say your experiments were successful.

Those are beautiful. Such a good idea. They really look like the coloration of fall leaves.

This is beautiful. The batiks give it a natural look.

I wish my first quilt looked as gorgeous as yours!!!! For some reason I never thought of using the blue tape for machine quilting. I have used it lots of times for hand quilting though. Thanks for such a nice idea.
