    Default some kinda magic square?

    Several years ago - and maybe since but I've been gone - we were having fun with a kind of magic square like this picture, where you take 5 squares, 4 alike and 1 different for the middle;
    And you end up with a 4-patch with diamond in center, but only sewing maybe 2 seams?
    There was a tutorial on here too.
    Anyone can gimmee a clue?
    Thanks so much!

    You can find youtube tutorials under The 10 Minute block. There are also several quilts on QB using the block. There is also the 5 minute block tutorial as well as another that turns back the bias edges for a different look.

    Looks like a 10 minute block to me! I think there are only 3 seams in it and it comes out like that. You might want to look at this You Tube from Suzanne McNeill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTHlGGKMPM This is how I learned to do it.
