They are all wonderful quilts. However, I particularly love the pink/white hand pieced/hand quilted quilt!

If you tease it out and lay it on greaseproof paper then spritz it with water, lay more paper over the top and press it with a dry iron, you get a filmy sheet of loveliness that can then be FMQd onto a fabric background. It wouldn't be washable obviously but it's fabulous for a wallhanging. The silk I used was hand dyed and I bought it in a little packet at the Festival of Quilts here in England last year. http://www.stef-francis.co.uk/fibres...rowsters-waste this was the supplier.
Kathryn, thanks for the link, hadnīt realised you had used it, does look lovely, kind of misty

It's so pretty in the flesh - kind of strokeable! And it's like alchemy how it goes when you wet it - like lead into gold! :-D

I donīt think she is doing any weaving, from what I understand she opens them out and wets them, they flatten out and she dyes them. I will ask more about what her plans are as you have all shown so much interest in this project.

Those are absolutely beautiful! I have some cacoons around here someplace, but I doubt that anything I make could be as beautiful as those!
