That's interesting because my thought on this one was, 'all I need is a focus fabric that has all the colors of my scraps'. I have scads of blender fabric scraps, sorted by color, so adding one focus fabric would allow me to use a bunch of my scraps. I would still consider it a scrappy quilt in that case.

They are all lovely. I'll add this post to the other Scrappy Quilt Show post for future reference. Thanks for sharing these pics with us!
You are sooo right, Rose! A focus fabric would work great just like they used in the basket quilt! I think this is very much a scrappy quilt and I call these types "controlled color" scrappies because they've selected a certain palette of colors and are sticking to those only. It's still a scrap quilt to me! A floral fabric is all you need, Rose, that would contain the colors of the majority of your scraps and wow it will look great! Can't wait to see your creation! Thank you so much for adding this as a link to the other thread on 'scrap quilts!' I have another CD of 2,000 quilt favorites, but wanted to show these as they are all kind of different in many ways and I thought it would give others some good ideas because they look like unique one-of-a-kind scrap quilts to me. The quilters incorporated great ideas like the house in the center of the snail's trail! I was hoping no one had seen any of these quilts before and it would be a nice quilt show! I hope everyone gets lots of ideas from these beauties! Thanks again, Rose, for your help and compliments! :D :D

I love cutting up my material after I quilt and putting it in my scrap "categories" which I got from Bonnie Hunter. She has some really nice scrappy quilt patterns for free on her website. I've made two of them SO FAR! http://quiltville.com/

I love her leaders and enders practice (plus book). I've made several quilts that way.

Thanks for sharing your quilts. Great eye candy and such a beautiful assortment.
Thank you, quiltingnonnie, for your nice compliments! I thought they were great quilts too and thanks for giving Bonnie Hunter's link!! She has great tutes and quilts, a very thorough website for any quilter at any level! I'm currently doing her Wonky Stars and I just love it so far!!! I've learned alot from Bonnie and hope others will visit her site. I especially love cutting my scraps into usable sizes for use later and storing in well marked bins like Bonnie does! You're sure to find something wonderfully scrappy there to make! She's a great teacher besides quiltmaker! Your very welcome and I'm glad it was eye candy for you guys!

    :-D :-D ;) ;)

Thank you so much, neeng!! I'm with you! Love the dbl. sawtooth the most. I'll post a better pic in a minute so you can see the whole thing better. Yes, I'll take the hot weather any day over all the snow!! I'm on the cold natured side so when it's 90-100 here, I don't really feel it. It just feels great to me!! Thank you, dear!!
